Nazrana-e-Avadh fest was organised in Avadh Girls’ Degree College, Lucknow .
From captivating cultural showcases to thrilling competitions, the fourth day of our fest invites everyone to join in the festivities and make lasting memories together.
Students of K.K.C. College and Shia P.G. College also shook the stage with their powerful band performance that swept the audiences’ hearts.
It was followed by the shimmering Fashion Show on the theme, ‘Rang-e-Inara.’ The esteemed judges for the event were Ms. Sangeeta Jaiswal and Ms. Aditi Arora. Ms Jaiswal also addressed the audience and reflected upon her own days as a student of the college, and wished to see more such cultural events in the future. Afterward, the results were announced as follows:
1st Position: Team C, Avadh Girls’ Degree College
2nd Position: Team B, K.K.C. College
3rd Position: Team A, Shia P.G. College
For the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Hariom (Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, U.P) was invited as chief guest.
The day was full of zeal as the graceful dance team of Avadh Girls’ Degree College performed a captivating dance drama on ‘Ganga Avataran.’
The prize distribution ceremony of the fest commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Nishi Pandey, Manager/Secretary, Managing Committee, highlighting the significance of the event as a platform to recognize and honour the exceptional talents showcased throughout the fest. Prof. Pandey’s words set the tone for the evening, emphasising the spirit of camaraderie, passion, and achievement that characterised the festival.
Following the welcome address, the audience was treated to a captivating video showcasing the highlights of the fest. The dance performance, inspired by the vibrant hues and spirited energy of the Rangreza theme, transported the audience on a mesmerising journey through a kaleidoscope of colours and emotions. From the rhythmic beats of the dhol to the melodious strains of the flute, every element of the performance came together harmoniously to create a spellbinding experience that left the audience enchanted and uplifted.
As the anticipation reached its peak, it was time for the much-awaited moment of the evening: the prize distribution. With bated breath, participants and spectators alike awaited the announcement of the winners across various categories. Cheers erupted as deserving individuals and teams were called upon the stage to receive their well-deserved awards, trophies, and certificates, amidst thunderous applause and congratulatory cheers.
The overall winner was Avadh Girls’ Degree College and IILM, Lucknow stood second. Following the tradition the host team handed over the winner’s trophy to the runner up team IILM, Lucknow.
The address by the esteemed chief guest resonated deeply with the audience, stirring hearts and minds with its profound wisdom and inspiring words. With eloquence and passion, Dr.Hariom, the chief guest emphasis.
The Principal, Prof. Bina Rai delivered the formal vote of thanks. In her speech, she thanked the Chief Guest Dr Hari Om, Principal Secretary, Social welfare Department, U.P. Govt., Ms. Zarine Viccajee, President of the Managing Committee, Prof. Nishi Pandey, Manager Secretary, Principals of other colleges, guests and participants from other colleges, members of the press, sponsors, members of the faculty, students and staff members. She motivated the students to participate in more such fests and impressed upon the students the need to learn and grow in life. She concluded her speech with a couplet which focused on the importance of literature and the liberal arts.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.
