About WRET-2024

WRET 2024 is here to draw the attention of national and international researchers, scientists, and academicians to discuss and learn about the latest innovative ideas and technology for waste management, water treatment, air purification, etc.

WRET-2024 aims at stimulating the awareness of researchers, scientists, professionals, and citizens about the safe practices and latest technologies for managing and treating solid and liquid wastes. With an emphasis on the core issues of waste management through safe and efficient practices, WRET-2024 will provide an excellent platform for exchanging and discussing ideas, practices, and techniques for waste management and other issues.

About conference

Rapid urbanisation and industrialization are causing severe impacts on the global environment by increasing solid waste generation, depleting natural resources, deteriorating soil quality, and elevating climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions. The adaptation of a circular and green economy in the waste management sector is the key factor in curbing environmental pollution, along with effective mitigation of climate change. In India, 55 million metric tonnes (MT) of municipal solid waste (MSW) are generated per year. It is rising at an annual rate of 5%, which is expected to increase to 300 million MT per year by 2047. However, the current situation of waste management in India as well as in other Asian countries is not attractive and demands innovative and effective circular economy models to alleviate the pressing climate change issue.

In the current context, the “International Conference on Waste Recycling and Environmental Technology 2024 (WRET-2024)” provides a timely platform for bringing successful case studies and research innovations from developed and developing countries to provide insights for the formulation of strategies for the growing waste management industry with more business opportunities. Furthermore, the conference will catalyse networking opportunities for young researchers to exchange ideas and interact with eminent scientists working in waste management across the world.

About Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

An Act (No. 58 of 1994) from the parliament established the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. The university distinguishes itself as a socially responsible learning community of high-quality scholarship and academic rigour sustained by social justice and equity principles for which Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar worked during his lifetime. The university draws from the cultural, intellectual, and economic resources of Uttar Pradesh and other states to enrich and strengthen its educational programmes.

Submission Guidelines

All submitted papers/abstracts must be original. Make sure that the title is in Times New Roman, in font size 14 (Bold), the author’s name is in font size 12, italicised, font size 10 for full affiliation, email, and mobile number/s are centre aligned. Abstracts with 4-5 keywords should not exceed 300 words. Submissions should be communicated through email (wret2024@gmail.com).

Important Dates

1. 31st October, 2023: Submission deadline for abstract
2. 15th November, 2023: Notification of acceptance of abstracts for oral/ poster presentation
3. 30th November, 2023: Submission deadline for full paper and early bird registration fee

Best full paper will be published in Scopus/Google Scholar Indexed Journals: Journal of Applied Science, Innovation & Technology (JASIT),

ISSN: 2583-505X, G- Journal of Environmental Science and Technology (GJEST): 2322-0228 and other Journal to be approached. Remaining papers will be published as book chapters in a book.
