Marathon being organised by district administration on October 31 to commemorate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The run will begin from the the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at GPO at 8am and will conclude at KD Singh Babu Stadium
“Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will organise this year’s event and arrangements like preparing the venue, creating traffic diversion plan and arrangements for health emergencies are to be made, so departments concerned have been asked to ensure the itinerary of the event to host 8,000 participants are made well in advance.
Lucknow Municipal Corporation was directed to ensure cleanliness and fogging, while Lucknow Development Authority was tasked with arrangements at the venue and sprucing up the statue of Patel.
Health department was instructed to install three ambulances and medical camps along the route.
