IITR MUN 2023
Model United Nations, referred to as MUN, offers participants a distinctive opportunity to immerse themselves in the realm of international diplomacy and the resolution of global challenges through constructive forums for open dialogue. Delegates will uphold their countries’ national policies while engaging in negotiations amid other, at times divergent, international policies.
IITR MUN is a two days conference and will be held on 13th and 14th October

There are three committees this year:
AIPPM: Evaluating the ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur
UNGA: Deliberation over unlawful occupation of territory and forced governance with special emphasis on Israel Palestine conflict
INDIAN WAR CABINET: Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971
What will be included in the registration fees?
Registration fee is Rs.2799+taxes.
It will include accommodation(compulsory for girls) for three days, breakfast and lunch, goodies, participation in all events and pronites.
What is the prize worth of the event?
The prize worth is 100k
Campus Ambassador program:
THOMSO offers students the chance to represent and promote the organization at their colleges and universities. Their responsibilities comprise developing our presence and promoting THOMSO events among students and educators by serving as a link between their colleges and us.
ZONALS:
The Karwaan are an eclectic series of zonal events leading to Thomso, the annual cultural fest of IIT Roorkee. Also known as Mini-Thomso, the Karwaan zonals provide an excellent stage for students and cultural societies to showcase their abilities in highly competitive events ranging from non-stop musical performances, and high-energy dance-offs to captivating drama and open mic, thus providing a national-level platform for local talent.
